What balayage is
Balayage is a freehand technique: lightener is painted onto the hair instead of being foiled in regular sections. It gives a natural, sun-kissed result that grows out without a harsh line.

Colour
Soft, hand-painted balayage and highlights at Strand & Lock in Digbeth — on straight, wavy and curly hair.
In short
Strand & Lock offers balayage at Unit 12 & 13 Gibb Street, Deritend, Birmingham B9 4DJ, near Birmingham city centre. The colour is hand-painted for a soft, low-maintenance grow-out, applied with bond protection, and placed to suit curly hair as well as straight. A consultation comes first. Open Wednesday to Sunday.
Balayage is a freehand technique: lightener is painted onto the hair instead of being foiled in regular sections. It gives a natural, sun-kissed result that grows out without a harsh line.
On curls, we place the colour where each curl naturally falls, so the brightness shows when your hair is worn curly, not only when it's straightened.
Bond protection is used during lightening, and a treatment can be added to keep hair soft afterwards.
